As an Associate Advising Professor, Dr. Lucero has a number of responsibilities beyond providing one-on-one advising to her students. These activities are meant to enhance the experience of Notre Dame undergraduates as well as the practice of academic advising more generally. Her service on various University committees also contributes to strengthening academic citizenship and advancing of Notre Dame's mission.

Dr. Lucero's professional activities currently include:

• Co-directing the Balfour-Hesburgh Scholars Program
• Serving as a faculty advisor for Show Some Skin
• Serving on various committees: Granville Clark/Reinhold Neibuhr Awards Committee, Valedictorian Selection Committee, and Diversity and Inclusion Working Group
• Launching (in September 2019) a research case study of Show Some Skin.
