"The more we penetrate into the depths of the structures of solid matter, the 'mass', the more full of holes it becomes; under our very eyes, the 'mass' eludes our grasp. All the more triumphantly, however, does the Spirit emerge."
-Pope Benedict XVI, from The God of Jesus Christ

Welcome to my Theology e-Portfolio!
My name is Joe Wolf. I am majoring in Science Pre-Professional Studies with a supplemental major in Theology and a minor in Catholic Social Traditions. I chose to pursue a supplementary major in theology because of the profound impact that my Catholic faith has on the rest of my life. I hope to learn more about God and Catholicism so that I can better understand how to make my life in line with God's goal for my own life and for the entire world. More specifically, I am interested in the intersections between theology and medicine, where God's own compassion and healing serve as a model for the vocation of all physicians. My goal for this e-Portfolio is to expound these interests and demonstrate how I am pursuing them through my studies at Notre Dame.

Great work on your e-Portfolio, Joe! I love the connections that you draw between your theological studies and a future in medicine. With that background, your reflections on the learning outcomes are all the more excellent. I especially enjoyed your reflection concerning mitochondrial DNA and moral theology. I don't have any suggestions for the e-Portfolio.. it's great!
