Project Reflection

Before this sound project, I had never before worked with the audacity program. I was lucky that I chose the person I did to participate in my interview, because Dash is a really good speaker. This made editing and cutting out long pauses fairly simple for me, as well as adjusting the audio, because he speaks quite clearly. One thing that was more challenging for me in adjusting audio was the music track that accompanied the interview. It was definitely more difficult to make sure the audio, first of all, fit with the content of the interview, and second of all, was the appropriate volume during speaking and non speaking portions of the audio. With my best efforts, I think I managed to adjust volume well throughout the interview, but did have a little static towards the beginning of the music track. In continuing with audacity, I would like to learn more about ways to cut out static and excess background noise to really fine tune my audio tracks.
