Based on your grade predictions, which course(s) are going well?
Calculus and Writing & Rhetoric are going relatively well; they are not my most challenging classes and although I do not like the busy work, I am not worried about them at all.
Based on your grade predictions, which course(s) could be improved?
I think I need to plan better for Chemistry and Psychology. These classes both involve a very little amount of homework and a lot of reading. I am not used to this type of a class, so there is definitely room for improvement.
Create an Action Plan by listing 3 things you will need do to improve your academic performance during the second half of the semester.
For the rest of the semester, I am going to devote time seperate from my homework/study time to read course material. This will not be a huge change, but I believe that devoting about half an hour a day before bed to reading will help me retain what I learn in class.
How accurately did you guage your academic standing?
I was pleasantly surprised in Chemistry and a little shocked in Biology, Psychology, and Writing & Rhetoric. I knew that my predictions were a little ambitious, but I think that in general I guaged my standing pretty well.
Do you need to rethink your action plan?
My action plan was based on the changes that I already knew that I had to make, I am just going to need to rethink how I put it into practice.
If so, what changes will you make?
I will try to write and reflect in my journal more often; hopefully, this will push me to practice everything that I have planned and help me keep my goals in mind.
