Service: The Catholic Worker

 

 I was familiar with the story of Dorothy Day from a religion class in high school. It was not until I went to the Catholic Worker House in South Bend that I remembered her story. The Our Lady of the Road House is located in a poor part of the city, but they were very welcoming for volunteers to come and help clean. The Catholic Worker House in South Bend also consists of a men's and women's house.

The front door of the Our Lady of the Road House. It is so tucked away that our cab driver drove right past it on our way there.
