Letter writing is a lost art. After high school graduation a couple of my friends and I attempted to write each other letters as often as we could; however, as we all become more involved in our respective colleges the letters come less and less frequently. Still, every time I receive a letter, I know that sometime took the time to write and send the letter and that means a lot to me.

There are many people that mean a lot to me and I have no idea where I would be without them. Sending them a handwritten thank you letter is just one way I have shown my appreciation. I have sent letters to my high school biology teacher, latin teacher, friends, family, but there is one that I would like to share.

On February 26th, one of my biggest role models and heros passed on from this life. Fr. Ted Hesburgh touched my life in a very specific way and I am forever thankful for everything that he has done.
