-Do you know your academic advisor/advisors well enough to ask for and receive a detailed letter of recommendation?  Do you know one or more professors (not necessarily in your likely or intended major) well enough to ask for a letter of recommendation?

Yes, my FYS advisor has been a great help to me this school year both in terms of the E-Portfolio, and in my academic pursuits. He has been very reliable, available and a constant support even when I didn't believe in myself. I am sure that he would write me a detailed letter of recommendation. There are also a handful of professors both in my intended major and otherwise who know me well enough for me to ask them for a letter of recommendation and know that I am getting a good one.

-Do you know how to look up University faculty, staff and departments on the online directory so that you can request a meeting?

Yes, the directory on inside.nd.edu has a search by name, department, and title.

-Do you have a system for organizing your network? Do you use your cell phone address book or use the contact list on your email, for example?

I use my cellphone as my calendar, my email and just about everything else. I don't know what I would do without Google Apps.
