Jennifer Rager Fox
Assistant Dean for Programming and Personnel
Faculty Rank: Associate Professional Specialist

 

Jennifer Fox is assistant dean for programming and personnel in the University of Notre Dame’s First Year of Studies (FYS) and holds the rank of associate professional specialist. Most of her students are engineering intents, and she has a particular interest in STEM retention. 

 

In her role as assistant dean, Fox oversees Welcome Weekend programming and supports the dean of FYS on special projects. This includes preparing reports about the performance of the first-year class, the contributions of FYS advisors to national conversations on advising, and the status of various FYS initiatives undertaken in recent years.

 

Fox co-edited Academic Advising and the First Year of College for NACADA and the National Resource Center for the First-Year Experience and Students in Transition.

 

She earned her B.A. in history from Marquette University in 2003 and her M.A. in higher education from Boston College in 2005.
