This project was my first experience with using Audacity. While getting comfortable using the recording device and the editing software, I definitely experienced a learning curve. Tyler was a great person to interview because he had many stories about his experiences in the Notre Dame marching band. However, these different stories did involve editing them to ensure that they flowed from one to the next. A challenge I faced was choosing a soundtrack that added to the interview and did not distract. After trial and error with different possibilities, I eventually found one that worked. I learned about the techniques of adjusting the two layers on sound to create the volume levels I needed. Fading in and out with the music was a struggle I faced. I was able to create this effect to some extent, but this is a skill I hope to hone as I continue to gain experience in Audacity.
